1/16/2010 - Nicole Denman breaks maiden at SHRP
Nicole Denman broke her maiden in dramatic fashion January 16 at Sam Houston Race Park. The dark brown four-year-old filly by El Corredor out of Miss Lady Di by Dehere went four-wide on the turn to rush up and race past the leader to win the maiden special weight in only her second start. A Texas-bred, she was injured early in her career and not expected to run. But after being turned out for a year, she came back into training as a three-year-old and all systems are go. She is based in Louisiana at Delta Downs where she is trained by Brian House.
